Bertie brings over 30 years of industry experience
In 2011, Bertie progressed in the Company as a Mechanical Contracts Manager to help support the delivery of Project growth. Projects Bertie managed included Cardiff & Vale College, Capital Quarter, Ebbw Vale Leisure Centre and Monitise International.
Since 2017, Bertie has led and project managed the IQE Semi-conductor Factory in Newport (formerly the LG Plant), in partnership with IQE, Atkins and Faithful & Gould, with CMB Engineering appointed as the Principal Contractor for this prestigious project.
Bertie believes his successful delivery on projects is through a ‘lead from the front’ attitude made for a happy and productive workforce. Like his brother Steve, Bertie likes to put family high in his priorities, and believes therefore CMB have a large number of ‘Father & Son’ combinations working for the Company.
In July 2019, Bertie was progressed as Project Director, helping to lead many projects.
