CMB Engineering have recently donated a 100-seater stand to Llanrumney United Football Club for the new Community Sports Complex in East Cardiff.
We are currently assisting and supporting the sports clubs via advice and shortfall funding to develop the former school playing fields, which has come about as a result of the Cymru Football Foundation's (Football Association of Wales) Fit-For-Future Facilities Fund as well as a grant from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd.
As a newly constituted charity, the Llanrumney Community Sports Trust will help develop and promote interest and participation in grassroots sports in Llanrumney and the surrounding areas and CMB’s latest addition to the site will give the sports club the comfort and feeling of a permanent home that they deserve for when the new grounds are opened.
On completion, the community area of the sports complex will boast a Tier 3 enclosed football pitch, a flexible open grassed area facilitating rugby and football fixtures for all ages, miniature pitches for small-sided rugby/football games, a club house incorporating a large flexible community room, 4 changing rooms and a 77-space car park (including disabled spaces and cycle parking).
