As part of the Social Value contributions for the Fairwater Community Campus project, our team visited Taff Housing in Cardiff to make a donation of 21 baby monitors, 21 child locks and 21 grow eggs – which are nightlights that also track room temperatures for small children.

We donated these items to Taff Housing to accommodate the 21 residents at their mother and baby support accommodation hostel. The residents, who are homeless and require a safe place to live with their children until they can be housed more permanently, said that because of these donated items they can now enjoy participating in everyday activities such as the group cooking sessions and getting their babies into routines without interruptions.

Lois Woodward at Taff Housing added:

“Thank you so much to CMB/BESL for visiting us. This will make a huge difference to how we continue to model positive parenting and safe practices. As a trauma informed service, housing 21 homeless young women and babies, we know that feeling safe needs to be achieved in order to begin to grow.”
