CMB Recognised On Prominent Insider Media Rankings With Rising Turnover

The directors are pleased to report that the company posted its 2023/24 year-end accounts showing a 33% increase in turnover to £72 Million and a Profit Before Tax of £2 Million

The strong financial results have in-part been achieved thanks to us remaining an appropriately capitalised partner, thus enabling our dynamic approach and advanced planning – even in a challenging inflationary environment. Thanks to the long-term “no-grief” culture we have adopted since our inception, we’re honoured to have enjoyed unprecedented client recognition and support with both ongoing repeat business from existing clients, as well as the development of new client relationships.

We have delivered record half-year results and have a strong forward order book for the remainder of the current financial year, and this is forecast to continue into 2025 and beyond.

The directors are proud of the fact CMB Engineering is the number one independently owned building services company headquartered in Wales. This is reflected in the Companies recognition in the following categories:

·         Top 30 Construction Company in Wales (Wales Business Insider)

·         Top 30 Mechanical & Electrical Company in the UK (Construction Enquirer)

·         Top 200 Company in Wales (Wales Business Insider)

·         Top 55 Company in South Wales (Grant Thornton Awards)

·         Top 150 Most Profitable Business in South Wales (Grant Thornton Awards)

·         Top 100 Owner-Managed Business in Wales (Wales Business Insider)

The business delivers as Principal Contractor and Specialist Contractor across Wales, the Southwest and the wider UK. The reputation the company has gained in terms of commitment to service and quality has demonstrated why we are regularly the contractor of choice.

We have delivered in numerous roles in various sectors such as Principal Contractor on Design and Build projects in semiconductor production, process manufacturing, sports complex development and the facilities sector, as well as our traditional role as a specialist building services sub-contractor.

A critical component of our organic growth is our staff retention based upon our “Train and Retain” policy. Our Staff and Clients remain our biggest asset and our policy of maintaining a strong balance sheet with a clear focus on cash and liquid assets, coupled with a strong forward order book, makes CMB a robust business well equipped for future growth and development.
