CMB Engineering recently secured the Mechanical contract to work on the award-winning Pen Y Dre High School in Merthyr Tydfil, which is being refurbished on behalf of Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council. This carbon-zero project aims to utilise air source heat pumps as the main source of heating throughout the building in order to become a more sustainable and environmentally friendly building.
Our recent visit to the site saw our team get a tour of the school to see where CMB’s work will soon begin following the mechanical contract start date in January 2023.
Our engineers are currently onsite having fitted the temporary pipe works to divert the heating system to ensure the schools heating is maintained throughout the winter.
