Job Title: Estimating Administrator


Location: Cardiff, Wales.


Reporting to: Estimating Manager


Hours: 30 Hours Per Week | Monday – Friday, 9am – 3pm

The Job:


We are looking to strengthen our Estimating and Pre-construction Department with an Estimating Assistant/Administrator based in Cardiff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support to the department in all aspects of tender and bid submissions. You will be involved in processing tenders from start to finish. You would be based in our head office in Cardiff, with hours of 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday. Hours can be negotiated, depending on the individual.


Key Skills & Responsibilities:


  • General administrative duties – typing / printing / photocopying / scanning documents.

  • Issue tender enquiries to sub-contractors using the correct process.

  • Collate quotations to ensure that they are received by the stipulated deadline.

  • Distribute returned quotes to appropriate estimator.

  • Check tender documents and create a document/drawing register.

  • Printing documents and drawings as required.

  • Logging all new tender enquires.

  • Organising and digitally filing of all relative tender documentation.

  • Assist with compiling the final tender return.

  • Assist with producing tender presentation documents for submission to clients.

  • Any other administrative duties the Company may reasonably request.


What we are looking for:


  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Excel/Word/Outlook/Powerpoint)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and a confident telephone manner

  • An organized approach with excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritise workloads and work to tight deadlines

  • Friendly positive attitude and ability to work with other members of the team

  • Willing to take the initiative to resolve a problem

  • Willingness to develop own career
