CMB has always taken great pride in our long-standing apprenticeship program and the many exceptional employees who have transitioned to full-time roles with us through this initiative. The success of these apprentices is highlighted by the numerous awards that many of them have earned over the years.
We are excited to announce that one of our third-year apprentices, Kian Elward, has been selected to compete in the HIP Learner of the Year 2025 (Wales Regional Heat) on January 16th, 2025.
Kian has been generously sponsored by Wolseley UK for this competition, receiving a brand-new toolkit and additional equipment. This kit will be essential for Kian, not only for the competition but also for practicing beforehand to perfect and enhance his skills.
The HIP Learner of the Year competition spans across six regions in Wales and England, searching for the best up-and-coming talent in the construction industry. Level 2 and 3 plumbing and heating learners are invited to compete in a live practical installation, and the winner and runner-up from each region will be invited to attend the grand final in March.
