ST. ANDREWS
PRIMARY SCHOOL

We are pleased to have successfully handed over yet another school to a satisfied client, with St. Andrews Primary School in Newport now fully furnished with students and staff working from the building.
CMB Bristol secured the £2.3 Million Mechanical & Electrical contract for this project back in December 2023 and commenced works on site 3 months later. This new £10 Million educational facility, funded by Newport City Council, now provides a modern learning environment for its students to replace the previous outdated building.
It boasts state-of-the-art facilities including spacious classrooms equipped with the latest educational technology, a range of academic spaces, specialised areas for extracurricular activities and sports, an inclusion zone, a Lego Lab, cookery facilities, community rooms and an open plaza zone.
In keeping with Newport Councils commitment to building with sustainability in mind, CMB covered the flat-roof areas of the school in solar panels, whilst modern heat pumps are used to provide warmth. There is also ample space for the storage of bikes to encourage environmentally friendly transportation.
This school has remarkably gone on to achieve BREEAM Excellent status, highlighting the success in its sustainability performance and environmentally friendly benefits.
